The semicolon (:) is from Project Semicolon.  Project Semicolon is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and love to those who struggle with depression, self-injury, mental illness and suicide.
Teal is for PTSD awareness.
IGY6 is military lingo for "I got your six (back)".  Everyone knows the military LOVES their acronyms!
Black is for the heavy hearts that many of us carry, those who suffer from PTSD and those who have lost loved ones to suicide because of PTSD.
The red is a symbol of the blood that has been shed.

When you combine it all together it a way of saying that if you are thinking about taking your life, PAUSE it is not time to end, I got your back and will help you through it and stand by your side.  If anyone sees me wearing it they will know that I want to talk to them and  get them the help that they need.

My journey has a military caregiver led me to get this as a tattoo.  I wanted something that would be a conversation starter.  I chose "Relax; IGY6" as the name for this website because I believe that military caregivers should relax and know that they are not alone; we have their back.
